High Arch Bridge

On a trip through Eastern Oregon we left the freeway to see the High Arch Bridge outside of La Grande. This is a Conde McCollugh bridge designed when he first started with the Oregon Highway department. He went on to design many of the bridges along US 101 on the Oregon Coast. This bridge was built to span the Grande Ronde River and the Union Pacific tracks on US 30 back in the 1930's.
