This was our first off the ground camper. We bought it in 2003 and had great times camping throughout the Western United States. we made trips to Southern California, travelling down the coast and one spring towed it to Phoenix for some spring baseball. We towed it with a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo with a 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed transmission. We got about 20 to 22 miles per gallon so it was very economical to travel with.
Opened up it expanded to a bed on each end, a dinette and kitchen area in the middle. It had a furnace and refrigerator so it kept us warm and dry and we weren't dependent on ice to keep food cold. This was a huge step up from tent camping and made our camping experiences much more comfortable. It was also dry. No water finally soaking through the tent, soaking our sleeping bags.
Besides camping in the mountains and at the coast here in Oregon, we took 3 long trips with the trailer. The first was down the coast of Oregon and California to San Diego. The campgrounds we stayed at ranged from state parks in the Redwoods to the massive Camperland in San Diego. This is right on the beach and has about 1000 camping spots. Very festive and lots of different types of camping. Everything from tents to million dollar motorhomes. Our second long trip was to Montana to start Aaron at school and then sightsee on the way back. The last one was to Phoenix to watch some spring baseball and see some of Utah's national parks.
