This started as a mis-communication with my lead guy in Spokane. He called and asked for some air line anti-freeze, a product we use to keep the air brake lines from freezing in our trucks. I, however, was flying to Spokane that afternoon and already thinking of the cocktail hour at 21,000 feet. My mind was on this:
and his was on gallon jugs of anti-freeze. Took a minute before we realized we weren't on the same page. Being able to have a cocktail while traveling at 500 mph is a great thing. I don't know if it started as a way to calm nervous passengers or a profit center, but it is one of the few things I like about flying.
