Puzzles and the daily routine

I've done puzzles on a daily basis for a long time. So long I can't remember exactly when I started but its been going on a long long time. The Oregonian, our daily paper here in Portland, has for puzzles on it's comics page. I do three of them, the Jumble, the Daily Crossword and the Sudoku. I don't do the Wordsearch puzzle. These are the three puzzles I do on a daily basis.

The Jumble.
I always do this one first. Usually accompanied by a cigar on the front porch.

The Sudoku
This is the puzzle I do last. And don't always complete. Kind of depends on my mindset and how tough my day has been. Much better with the word puzzles.

The Daily Crossword
This is my favorite puzzle to do. Complete it every day. Usually can get the Jumble and Crossword done while smoking one cigar.

I started doing Crossword puzzles about 30 years ago and find it a good way to pass the time. I started doing it while waiting for corn trucks to fill while I was farming. now I find it a good way to relax after a day at work and let my mind reset to home. When the Oregonian quit home delivery on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Diane and I have had to change our routine to pick up a paper after work instead of it being on the front porch in the morning.
