We ate out a couple of times while we were camping last weekend. Most of the time when we're camping we eat at camp. We aren't close to restaurants and can cook just about anything in our trailer. This trip we were close to Bend so could eat out on Saturday night. We went to the Tumalo Feed Company in Tumalo. Several of my drivers had recommended it so we gave it a try.
We had a really good dinner. Most of the menu is beef with some seafood. It's also served in a great old building that dates from the 1800's and used to be a general store. They had live country music in the bar and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Diane had a Marionberry Bourbon Soaked Bread Pudding for dessert that almost had her licking the bowl. The Long Island was good but didn't make the great list.
We arrived back at camp feeling pretty full and went for a walk around the campground to work some of it off.
On the way home we stopped in Detroit Lake for some lunch. We've ate at the Cedars before and always enjoy it. The food is good but nothing special but the decor is right out of 50's mountain resort. And they have crinkle cut fries. The booths are big, they even have 6 person booths. Anyway it was a pleasant stop on the drive home.
