When we go to the beach we like to take the truck out on the sand. Usually its just a nice drive around the dunes and a few up and downs. Last year when we went out at Pacific City to go down the beach and look at the seals, we got a little too close to the edge of the Nestucca Bay and got stuck. With the tide coming in we needed to get the truck out fast. Couldn't raise a tow truck on a Saturday afternoon so I proceeded to start digging to clear the sand and get us unstuck. Fortunately a boat with four fishermen was going by and they stopped and helped. With a little more digging and putting some driftwood under the wheels and lots of pushing, we got it out before we got too wet. Thanks be to some Good Samaritans.
