Depoe Bay is a small town on the Oregon coast that has a very small and unique harbor. The outlet to the ocean is very narrow, about 20 yards wide, and about 100 yards long. The boats need to come in and go out at a pretty good clip to keep to the center and not be pushed around by the tidal currents.
There is a Coast Guard station there. Lots of charter fishing boats are based here. It is also a prime whale watching spot.
